st barnabas’ day

May 29, 2010 — Leave a comment

Friday 11 June is the feast of our patron saint, Barnabas. We want to mark the occasion in two different ways.

1. On Thursday 10 June (a day before the feast day) daily prayers at 12.30 will become a short service of holy communion followed by lunch together – bring your own, perhaps some to share, drinks provided.  All are welcome.

2. On Friday 11 June (the actually feast day itself), in the spirit of St Barnabas, the son of encouragment himself, we want to encourage you to undertake a random act of kindness.  For examples of what that can include, look here: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/29-ways-to-carry-out-random-acts-of-kindness-every-day.html

Surprise someone else…surprise yourself…and make St Barnabas smile!
